RESEARCH RESIDENCE
Pair cussives it is a duet composed by sound artist Méryll Ampe and choreographer Josefina Camus. They propose a multidisciplinar performance, mixing sound and movement. Both artists articulate and share their practice to create a language which brings together dance, music and visual art.
The visual proposition, designed in collaboration with Curtis Putralk, proposes a monochrome atmosphere from the yellow towards the cooper color. The clothes of the performers and the sculpture are in this spectrum, which makes a strong visual proposition for the audience's perception.
Pair cussives is created by sharing composition tools of dance and music, combining set material and improvisation. This performance is created by listening and perceiving the different sounds, bodies and materials; the instruments, the sculpture and the body sound of each artist.

RÉSIDENCE DE RECHERCHE
Le projet Pair cussives est un duo formé par l’artiste sonore Méryll Ampe et la chorégraphe Josefina Camus, en collaboration avec l’artiste plasticienne Curtis Putralk. Elles proposent un dispositif scénique pluridisciplinaire où mouvements et sonorités se confondent. Gestes, respirations, souffles, tissus, silences conversent avec le rythme des caisse claire, grosse caisse et cymbale. Leur recherche s’articule entre la danse, la sculpture et le son générant des formes de dialogue. Josefina et Meryll créent des espaces d’intervention, tout en respectant leurs individualités. Chacune d’entre elle étant émettrice, la composition nait de l’écoute des différents corps sonores que interviennent dans la performance.
